The first step in eliminating hot & cold spots throughout your home.

Our Air Balancing Assessment helps identify the cause of drafts, hot and cold spots, or stuffy air in your home. Our team of professionals will develop a plan and discuss options to correct the issues leading to improved comfort, better indoor air quality, and potential energy saving

Our HVAC air balancing assessment is a process to measure and make recommendations by our team of professionals to adjust the airflow in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system to ensure each room receives the correct amount of conditioned air.

This is achieved by our trained technicians using various tools such as an anemometer to measure airflow and manometers to measure pressure, and then creating a plan to adjust components such as dampers and vents to correct imbalances, eliminate hot or cold spots, and improve comfort and efficiency of your system.

Additional costs will apply for any work required post-assessment to ensure your system is running efficiently. Our team will discuss options with you once the assessment is completed.

Why air balancing is important

Eliminates hot and cold spots: Ensures consistent temperatures throughout the building.

Improves comfort: Prevents drafty or stuffy areas and improves overall air quality.

Increases energy efficiency: Prevents the system from working harder than necessary, which can lower utility bills.

Reduces system strain: Prevents excessive wear and tear on the HVAC equipment.

Maintains air quality: Helps prevent problems like mold by ensuring proper air circulation

Steps in an air balancing assessment

System assessment: Our qualified technician will inspect the entire HVAC system, including ducts, vents, and fans, to identify potential problems.

Measure airflow and pressure: We use specialized tools to measure the current airflow and static pressure at different points in the system, particularly at each vent.

Our Team will provide you with a report & recommendations

Common Recommendations Include:

Adjusting/Installing components: Our team may recommend to install or make adjustments to the duct work throughout the home or make adjustments to the dampers in the ductwork to regulate the amount of air going to specific areas.

Calibrate fans and blowers: If needed we may recommend, fans and blowers to be recalibrated to ensure even distribution of air throughout the home.

Test and monitor: We may recommend that after adjustments are made, the system is re-tested and monitored to ensure proper airflow and pressure is achieved and maintained, so that the system is running efficiently.

Ongoing maintenance

Air balancing is not a one-time task and requires periodic re-balancing as the system ages or the your home's needs change.
