CoolHeat Comfort Systems started in 2013 by the Owner, Ray Richer, after working for multiple energy and other HVAC companies. This company started because he saw the side where customers were treated as just a numbered account in the system going through the revolving door. He branched out on his own because he wanted to create a positive and reliable company that really cares about the clients that entrust CoolHeat Comfort Systems to take care of their heating and cooling needs.

We know that making such a substantial purchase can be a stressful time and we’re here for our clients every step of the way. Your relationship with our company does not end after the installation – during the hottest heat wave and coldest wintery nights, our phones are on 24/7 for service and emergency calls no matter what time the call comes in. We are an HVAC company you can trust and rely on all year round!

There are multiple reasons that CoolHeat Comfort Systems is different than the other HVAC companies that operate in the Ottawa area. Firstly, we do not have an answering system answering our after-hours and emergency phone calls. Any day of the week, around the clock, you will be able to reach a company representative that will be able to help you out with your furnaces, air conditioners and more. Secondly, having the right team in place to ensure that all of our Customers concerns and emergencies are being taken care of is important. From our Office Administration Team to our Comfort Technicians and Comfort Specialists, we all care about our Customers. Thirdly, we know that everyone works hard for their money and we work hard to get the best prices and quality of equipment for everyone that chooses to be our Customer.

Our Comfort Specialists work for you and around your schedule. Often you will see that our Comfort Specialists work from 8am to midnight or later depending on what the situation is. There has been multiple times where we have been called out overnight to help our Customers that have no-heat or no air conditioning emergencies for estimates on repairs, servicing or next-day installations. When you request an appointment with one of our Comfort Specialists, we come directly to your home to have an open and honest conversation about your heating and cooling needs. Our number one policy is to never sell you anything you don’t need or want. The best part about the in-home consultation is that it’s completely free of charge and no obligation to purchase for all of our potential customers. The appointments often range between 30 minutes to an hour and a half depending on how many questions and concerns the clients have. It’s your opportunity to sit and ask as many questions you have with our trained and professional representatives and to absolutely no cost to you!

At the end of your in home consultation with our Comfort Specialists, you will be left with an Estimate for Installation, several brochures and applicable rebate information. After 2 to 3 days, you can expect a follow up from the office team or the Comfort Specialist themselves to see if you have any more questions or concerns.

If you choose to have CoolHeat Comfort Systems be your HVAC Company and wish proceed with installation in your home, we require a copy of the Estimate for Installation signed by whichever Customer or Customers are purchasing the equipment. If there is more than one person purchasing the equipment, one of the signatures on the Estimate for Installation must be a registered home owner on the property.

After you return the Estimate for Installation signed to the office, a 50% deposit of the grand total is due, unless otherwise specified in writing on the Estimate for Installation. This deposit guarantees you a spot in rotation for installation, especially during our busiest and peak times. Once the office team has secured the signed Estimate for Installation and the 50% deposit, you will receive an installation date that works for your schedule.

The day before installation, you will receive a confirmation call from our Installation and Service Manager to confirm that everything is still set for installation the next day. On the day of your installation, our Comfort Technicians will arrive on site at your home at the given time frame. While we are in your home installing, we do require that someone over the age of 18 years old is home at all times – preferably one of the Customers who has signed off on the Estimate for Installation as completion paperwork will need to be signed once the installation has completed.

After the installation, our Comfort Technicians will bring back all of their paperwork for processing at the office. The paperwork will be input into our system and attached to your Customer Account. Our office team will then email you a Post Installation Follow Up email with a copy of your paid in full invoice and warranty certificates but you do not need to print them off. The electronic copies are just for your records. You will receive a Welcome Package in the mail with any and all applicable installation paperwork to keep tucked away for safe keeping. In the Welcome Package you will receive a copy of your Paid in Full Invoice, your 10 Years Parts and Labour Warranty for CoolHeat Comfort Systems, your Manufacturer Product Registration and more!

Yes, we are an authorized contractor for the HRAI/IESO rebate program as well as the Energuy Enbridge rebate program that is currently on going in Ontario right now.

CoolHeat Comfort Systems offers an industry standard warranty on any equipment that we sell. Our warranty is provided to our Customers by matching whatever the Manufacturer provided parts warranty is on the equipment. For example – Rheem or Goodman furnaces have a 10 year parts warranty, CoolHeat Comfort Systems matches the 10 year parts warranty with 10 year labour warranty with required cleanings on years 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at the cost of $100.00 + HST per visit to ensure that the equipment is running up to Manufacturer specifications and efficiency.

CoolHeat Comfort Systems is proud to say that all of our staff and in-home employees that work directly for our Company. We do not use sub-contractors as we feel that having our in home Comfort Technicians that our Customers get to know on a regular basis builds a trusting relationship between our Customers and the Company.
